Except for one-of-a-kind Northland Bank chests, Luxurious Chests are the rarest kind of chest across the world of Genshin Impact. They can be found in several hidden spots and shrines, and they are significantly better than all of the other respawning ones.
Only in the Mondstadt region, you can find 8 Luxurious Chests. Many of them can be easily located by beginners.
Luxurious Chests of the Cathedral
The first one is on the top of the cathedral, in the City of Mondstadt. Go to the west side of the city, then climb it all the way to its highest tower. The chest will be under the bell.
The second Luxurious Chest is not far from the first. Just go to the stone fence in the courtyard. You will have to complete a challenge there to run past all the wind tunnels. Once it’s completed, the chest is yours.

The other chests of Mondstadt
Still in the city, go to the Knights of Favonius Tower. There is a building on the basecamp. You will have to climb it.
There will be 4 towers once you reach the roof. There will be many chests around here, but the one you want most will be at the western tower.
Now go to Stormbearer Mountains for your next Luxurious Chest. Make your way to the Ameno Hypostasis. After the boss, run east till the end of the river. The chest you are looking for is in front of a waterfall, at the top of a pole.
Now just go to Cecilia Garden and take the chest that waits for you close to the stone gate.
In Dadaupa Gorge, you will have to solve a puzzle to get the chest. In that area where the chest is, close to the mound surrounded by water, talk to Dr. Livingstone. After that, unlock the tri-seal and get the chest.
If you go to Starnatch Cliff, you will be able to see an island in Mondstadt that is not on the map. To reach it, you can try gliding from Starnatch Cliff, but a lot of Stamina is needed to do it. If you manage to get there, the Luxurious chest will e behind the hidden down after the sundial.
To get the last chest on our list, you need to unlock Stormterror’s Lair. You need An Adventure Rank of 18 and Archon Quest to be unlocked. Once there, climb the ruins to find the chest on the top of it.
