Pokemon Go features a customised player avatar shown on the map, but can you adjust its design later, such as with a hairstyle change?
How to change your hairstyle in Pokemon Go
Niantic doesn’t actually allow players to adjust or change their hairstyle in Pokemon Go. With that said, you can still change the colour of your hair, and a whole heap of other character options are available.
If you’d like to adjust or change anything about your avatar in Pokemon Go, you’ll need to navigate to the avatar customisation screen. To get there, tap your avatars icon in the bottom left of the main Pokemon Go screen.
As mentioned above though, Pokemon Go doesn’t currently support actually changing your hairstyle itself, despite how obvious it is. You can make use of these menus to change clothes, hair and eye colour, and a whole lot more though.

From here you can find a screen featuring your avatar, your current Pokemon buddy, and even personal player stats. You’ll need to hit the Style option shown next to Journal below your avatar when you’re ready to change your avatar appearance in Pokemon Go.
That’ll take you to the Choose your Style screen. You can adjust your outfit here, such as by changing hats, shirts, pants, gloves and the like. You’ll notice a distinct lack of hair customisation options here, however, and that’s because the option simply isn’t visible. To access those, you’ll need to tap on your avatar in this menu screen.

This will open up the appearance screen. Here you can mess with to mess with more “permanent” features of your avatar, such as hair, eyes, skin and even gender. If only these things were so easy to change for people in real life eh?

Inside the hair menu of Pokemon Go
As I mentioned at the start of the article, however, this will disappoint you if you want hairstyle changes. Though if you’re looking for colour adjustments, you can hit up the hair menu accordingly.

So, as it happens, Niantic’s idea of a hair menu consists purely of options to change the colour. This means that you’re stuck with the hairstyle you chose at game-start, it cannot change later on.
You might well even be stuck that way forever, or until Niantic decide to add an option to adjust it later on. It would seem that either scissors don’t exist in the Pokemon universe to Niantics mind, or you might have just been playing a Saiyan in Pokemon Go all this time without noticing.
Regardless, while you can edit your hair colour here, actual hairstyle changes outright seem to be impossible in Pokemon Go. Honestly, this seems a bit ridiculous to me, given the other things you can change mentioned above. Particularly given how easy it is to explain changing hairstyle, compared to the other things we can already change.
