Mastering competitive games isn’t as easy as it sounds. Especially in a game with 79 Champions like League of Legends: Wild Rift. But don’t let that scare you, because with dedication and hard work, you can play your favorite hero better than anyone else. Where can you check this? We wrote How to Check Mastery in Wild Rift for you.
To master it, you must play with your favorite champion. You ask why? Because you’ve to play a whole series of matches. Playing thousands of matches with a champion you don’t like sounds a bit boring. So pick one or two of your favorite champions and read on.

How to Check Champion Mastery in Wild Rift
Mastery system in League of Legends: Wild Rift has a total of seven levels. That may sound insufficient, but it’s not at all. Because to reach each new level, you’ll have to collect twice as many points as in the previous level. This means that you’ll have to play quite a long time and a lot of matches.
There are three different ways to see the mastery levels of your champions:
- Champions Gallery: When you open the gallery screen, you can see the mastery level of all the champions you’ve played at least once.
- Player Profile: When you go to your profile, click on the “Most Played” button at the bottom. Here you can see the champions and their mastery level.
- During Matchmaking/Loading Screen: You can see the mastery level under your champion’s image on the pre-match loading screen.
Note that the mastery level in Wild Rift is also visible to other players. In other words: If there’s a champion of level 5 or higher in your team, you can be sure that there’s a player who knows the game and the champion well. Trust her/him and make the Rift scary for your enemies.

How to Gain Mastery Points in Wild Rift?
You can see the points added to your Mastery progress at the bottom of each game’s results screen. Champion mastery points are calculated taking into account many factors such as match result, game mode, game time and personal performance. This way you get points even if you lose the game. Every game in which you do better means extra points.
All Mastery levels are specific to one Wild Rift champion. So if you play a champion you’ve never played before, the Mastery journey starts at 0. Instead of trying to reach level 7 on 79 champions at once (which is unlikely), choose a few different role heroes and master them according to your play style.
There’s one last thing you need to know about earning Mastery points. You still can earn points when you play a game up to fifth level. However, if you want to earn points after that level, you need to do well in the games you play. This is an indication of how difficult it’s to reach the seventh level.
Finally, if you reach level five with a champion, the game rewards you with an emote for this achievement. You can use it in the next matches, as everyone can see it.
