Sometimes you just need to shake things up a bit and knowing how to change the Scenery in Clash of Clans lets you do just that. The game offers several different scenery options that pop in and out of the shop, and new ones are released with nearly every event.
In most cases, these cost real cash, but there are a few ways to shake up the way the game looks without having to pull out your debit card.
Change Your Scenery
Changing Scenery in Clash of Clans is extremely easy to do once you know how. All you have to do is tap on your Town Hall. From there, you’ll see an option to the far right that says Change Scenery. Simply tap that and then choose the Scenery you’d like to use!
The Scenery changes the entire map, and some of them are more drastic changes than others, and these are generally something that you have to use real money to buy. However, there are a few times when the game has rewarded players with Scenery for free.

Free Sceneries in Clash of Clans
The Jungle Scenery has been a consistent free Scenery that players can get. However, it’s only available after you hit Town Hall 14, something that’s arguably impossible to do without spending money on Builders since it would take an insane amount of time to ever get there completely free-to-play. It’s estimated to take up to 1.5 years to max in Clash of Clans!
Occasionally include Scenery in the Gold Pass, such as the Pixel Scenery that was available for the 10-year anniversary of the game. However, this is pretty few and far between, and if you don’t progress high enough in the Gold Pass, you can miss out on rewards.

Alternate Free-To-Play Ways to Change Up Your Base
While changing Scenery is one of the easiest and coolest ways to make your base look different in Clash of Clans, there are a few things you can do without spending money. If looks are an important part of the game to you – which is completely understandable – then here are two great options.

Decorations
One thing you can do from the beginning of the game is decorate your base. In the shop, there’s an entire section dedicated to Decorations, and you can buy things like flowers or statues to add some flair to your area. The best part is that these items cost Elixir, which most people have a surplus of in early levels.
While Decorations take up space on your base, they don’t actually contribute anything to your defenses. Even if you’re not keen on attacking often, remember that you can get attacked at any point, so be careful to not put too many decorations out that could be replaced with actual units.
Base Layout
Another great way to make your base feel more unique is to change the Base Layout. The Base Layout is how you’ve got your units laid out on your base, and many people tend to copy and paste layouts from online sites that optimize stats. Luckily, even if you want the best possible base, there’s no best one. There are plenty of different Base Layouts to choose from, and you can even mess around with your units and create your own.
This is a great free-to-play way to really step up your game while also making your base look better.
