The best artifact sets in Raid Shadow Legends are easy to miss. There are stats that can look great on paper but don’t actually translate to gameplay. After all, unless you’re a whiz with numbers and statistics, trying to compare percentages and the utility of terms like lifesteal and speed can be difficult.
Considering how expensive it can be to upgrade your gear, you want to make sure that you’re upgrading the best artifacts that you can get.
Best Artifact Set for Attackers
One of the best artifact sets for attackers in Raid Shadow Legends is the Savage Set. This set makes it so that the champion ignores 25% of an enemy’s defense. You’ll see plenty of bulky, defense-heavy enemies once you start getting into late-game content, so having a way to shred through those defenses is extremely important.
The Savage Set can be upgraded, and it becomes the Lethal Set. On top of the previous stats, the Lethal Set also gives a 10% increase to critical rate. So not only are you dealing much more damage, you’re much more likely to increase that damage exponentially.
This set and its upgrade can majorly increase your champion’s damage output more than any other set in the game. You can get the Savage Set in the Fire Knight’s Castle, which is a raid. At Stage 13, you’ll be able to find six-star artifacts (although your odds to get the correct drop will increase at Stage 25).

Best Artifact Set for Defensive Champions
Despite only being a four-star set, one of the best artifact sets for defenders is the Shield Set. The set gives every champion a shield equal to 30% of the wearer’s HP. This can be a massive boost if it’s on a unit whose sole purpose is defense – it can act as a second health bar for your squishy, glass cannon champions.
You can get the set from pretty early on in the game, and it’s a great set to farm up for great stats. When you upgrade your artifacts, you’ll unlock new substats every four levels. The Shield Set is common enough that you can find plenty of them in order to optimize the substats, which should be HP boosting stats to utilize the set as much as possible.
The Shield Set can be found in the Fire Knight’s Castle just like the Savage Set. This makes farming both sets incredibly convenient and saves you a lot of time compared to looking for other sets that may not be as good for your champions.

Alternative Artifact Set for Defensive Champions
The Guardian Set is the only one in the game that lets your champions reassign the damage being dished out. The wearer takes 10% of the damage meant for allies while also healing for 10% at the end of each turn.
While the Shield Set is generally the best artifact set for your defenders, the Guardian Set can be better depending on the situation and the rest of your team. If you’ve got a lot of glass cannons on your team, then this is a pretty good option to keep them all protected while also healing your defender or support that’s buffing the damage dealers.
You can find the Guardian Set in the Doom Tower once you’ve hit level 40.

Best Artifact Sets for Specific Situations
If you’re trying to farm, then quickly grab the Speed Set. It’s easy to find early on in the Campaign mode of the game, and its speed stat boost is useful when you’re trying to blaze through levels and find what you’re looking for.
For newbies, the Lifesteal set is a great option. You’ll start getting pieces to it extremely early in the campaign, and it’s perfect considering you won’t have as many champion options, like the champion based on Ninja, to make things run smoothly. If you don’t have a good healer, you can just use Lifesteal artifacts in order to keep your champions alive. Accuracy is also helpful for a similar reason – it helps your champions apply their debuffs, and more debuffs make it easier to get through the early parts of the game.
